Shemikia is the owner of J’Vionnes Natural Hair Salon. She is a wife and mother of 3 kids. Natural Hair Specialist, Instructor and Braider. She is skilled in natural hair care, twist, coils, protective styles, locks, dread locks and more.

Shemikia Wallace started doing natural hair care in 1997. She studied at the Institute of Afrikan Holistic Medicine as a Natural Hair Care Technician from 2004-2010 where she was also employed at Escofhari Holistic House. Shemikia became certified under the North Carolina Board of Natural Hair Care and Holistic Science. She branched out on her own to then establish J’Vionne’s Natural Hair Incorporated (2011- present), inspired by her husband, mother and daughter.
